Carrying a responsibility toward the public good.

The Center for Public Responsibility is a dedicated space for serious scholarship, public commentary, and the development of principled frameworks that address society's most pressing challenges.

About

The Center for Public Responsibility exists to recover moral seriousness in public life. As the intellectual and ethical engine of The American Council, it develops research, analysis, and practical frameworks that help leaders confront society’s most pressing challenges with clarity, responsibility, and conviction.
Policy Solutions
We develop serious, ethically grounded solutions to the policy challenges shaping our communities, institutions, and common life. Rather than reacting to headlines or repeating partisan talking points, we work to identify what is just, workable, and genuinely good for society.
Political Civility
We work to restore a better way of engaging public life, one marked by conviction, honesty, and respect. Political civility does not mean moral compromise or the absence of strong disagreement.
